ListManager - Performing a backup of the ListManager SQL Server database

This article explains which critical files need to be backed up when performing a backup of the ListManager SQL Server database.

Resolution

Important for ListManager 12.4.11 and later: The same SQL database backup principles also apply when ListManager is deployed on supported newer SQL Server versions, including SQL Server 2022.

When performing a routine backup of the ListManager SQL Server database, the critical files that need to be backed up in case a restore is needed are the LDF and the MDF files.  All of the files reside at the following path:
 
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$xxxxx\Data
