Overview
You are running an older ListManager release and would like to download the latest installer and review the current release information before upgrading.
Solution
Backup Your Current Installation, Download the Current Release, then Upgrade in Windows or Upgrade in Linux.
Backup Your Current Installation
- Make a backup of your database.
- On your LM server, make a backup copy of the
lmcfg.txtfile.- Windows:
C:Program FilesListManagerlmcfg.txt - Linux:
~/ListManager/bin/lmcfg.txt
- Windows:
Download the Current Release
You can download the current ListManager installer from the Worx installer page and review release details on the current release page. If you do not yet have Worx access, use the Request Access option on the Worx homepage and then return to the product downloads area.
Upgrade in Windows

Shut down ListManager and the ListManager web server.

Run the current installer package for your platform, for example
lm-12.4.11-.... -
When running the ListManager installer, select Upgrade instead of New Install, then provide the existing installation path. The installer will copy data if needed and upgrade the database. Note: Database upgrades may take several hours depending on data volume.

Allow the installer to start ListManager and the ListManager web server when the upgrade is complete.
Upgrade in Linux

Shut down ListManager and the ListManager web server.

Untar and unzip the ListManager installer.

Change to the directory created by the ListManager installer.

Run
./install_lm.plto start the installer. -
When running the installer, select Upgrade instead of New Install, then provide the existing installation path. The installer will copy data if needed and upgrade the database.

Allow the installer to start ListManager and the ListManager web server when the upgrade is complete.
