Overview
Early versions of ListManager relied on DNS lookups from ListManager's built-in DNS server and using an external DNS server was not recommended. However, since the introduction of version 12.0, Support recommends using Google DNS for all DNS lookups to ensure rapid delivery of mail.
Solution
- Log on to ListManager as an Administrator
- Navigate to Utilities > Administration > Server > Server Settings > Network Settings, DNS tab
- DNS Server IP Address: 8.8.8.8
This is the IP address for Google DNS
Use Only for Fallback?: No - Click the Save button to accept the changes
- DNS Server IP Address: 8.8.8.8
- Restart ListManager
After changing your DNS settings to use Google DNS, mail delivery performance is improved as there are no more delays caused by DNS lookups.
