Overview

You are trying to apply the Hotmail feedback loop and SNDS service and need to know if Lyris LM can forward messages sent to postmaster@actual_domain.com to postmaster@different_domain.com.

Solution

By default, ListManager accepts email for a variety of command addresses, such as "subscribe-listname@…" "help@…" "info@…" and many others. Emails for postmaster@ or any other command email address can be forwarded with this solution:

1. Navigate to Utilities > Administration > Server > Server Settings > Basic Settings
   
   
2. In the Remove command email addresses box enter "postmaster"
   To remove multiple addresses, enter them on separate lines:
   postmaster
   help
   
   
3. In the Forwarding orders field enter the email address you want to forward followed by the email address you want emails forwarded to, e.g.:
   postmaster@actual_domain.com postmaster@different_domain.com
   NOTE: You can specify multiple people to forward to, by separating each destination email address with a comma (with no spaces between each email). One use of this feature might be to make a "cross-posting" address for multiple lists. Mail sent to this address could automatically be forwarded to several mailing lists. Another use of this feature is if there are several administrators who should receive the same email.
   admins@example.com bob@example.com,jane@example.com
   
4. Click Save

After making these changes emails addressed to postmaster@actual_domain.com are forwarded to postmaster@different_domain.com.
