Overview
You would like to configure your Lyris LM Discussion Forums so that certain lists, or forums, are not visible to non-members and prevent non-members from requesting access to the lists when clicking View All Forums. However, you want list members to be able to access the forum directly with a URL.
Solution
- Log on to your ListManager instance as an Administrator
- Navigate to Utilities > List Settings > Discussion Forum Interface > Message Reading
- Update the List Visibility setting:
- List Visibility: List is Hidden but Accessible if the List Name is Known
- List Visibility: List is Hidden but Accessible if the List Name is Known
- Click Save
After changing the List Visibility setting the list is no longer visible when selecting View All Lists, but can be reached by URL.
