Overview
You have a large mailing that is causing issues, like using up all of your available bandwidth. After restarting ListManager, the mailing that was causing issues automatically resumes and you'd like to know how to stop the mailing.
Solution
First, pause the mailing, then it can be deleted. In some cases, it may be preferable to start ListManager with the 'nomail' option to prevent any attempts at sending messages. Follow the steps in the How to Stop ListManager From Sending Outgoing Mail article, then follow the steps below except for Step 6.
- Log on to ListManager as an Administrator
- Navigate to Mailings > Mailing Status > Mail Queues > Mail Queue - Outgoing
- Select the list that needs to be paused from the dropdown menu and click Go
- Search and click on the ID of the message you want to pause
- Click the Mail Queue tab
- Click the option to 'Pause' the mailing
NOTE: Skip this step if you started ListManager with the 'nomail' option
- Once the mailing is Paused (this might take a while especially if it is a large mailing), you will see the option to 'Stop Mailing' - click Stop Mailing
After clicking Stop Mailing, the mailing is canceled and will no longer try to automatically resume.
