Overview
You have downloaded the lm-12.4.1-mssql.exe or lm-12.4.1-oracle.exe file as described in the Where to Download the Latest Version of LM article and want to ensure that the executable is appropriate for your Windows 2016 Server or other Windows Server.
Information
The LM installer executable for Windows, whether using MS SQL or Oracle as the database, is compatible with all supported versions of Windows.
LM supports the following Windows Operating Systems:
- Windows 2000/XP/2003/2008 Standard Server
- Server 2008 is supported R1 and R2
- Server 2012
- Server 2016
NOTE: LM has been tested using 32-bit machines. Windows 2003 Server Web edition is not supported for Microsoft SQL server, as Microsoft SQL Client Tools cannot be installed on this platform.
LM supports the following databases with Windows:
- Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition (Make sure named pipes and TCP are enabled)
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 SP4, 2005, 2008 (R1 and R2), 2012, 2014, and 2016
- Oracle 10gR1 and 10gR2 , and 11g (using a 32-bit client toolset)
