Overview

You are currently running LM version 12.4 (or earlier) and would like to upgrade to the latest version which resolves issues related to DKIM in version 12.4 that caused mail processing to halt. 

Solution

Backup Your Current Installation, Download the Installer, then Install in Windows or Install in Linux

Backup Your Current Installation

1. Make a backup of your Database
   
   
2. On your LM server, make a backup copy of the lmcfg.txt file
   1. Windows: C:\Program Files\ListManager\lmcfg.txt
   2. Linux: ~/ListManager/bin/lmcfg.txt

Download the Installer

You can download the latest versions of ListManager directly from the Worx Product Downloads Page. If you do not have access to Worx then please click "Request Access" on the Worx Homepage to create an account and our Worx Team will grant you access as soon as possible.

Upgrade in Windows

1. Shut down ListManager and the ListManager web server
   
   

2. Double click on the 'lm-12.4.4-...' executable icon which ends with your database type, e.g. 'mssql'
   
   

3. When running the ListManager installer, select "Upgrade" instead of "New Install", and provide the installer with the path where ListManager is currently installed. The installer will automatically copy the data if necessary and upgrade the database
   NOTE Upgrading the database may take several hours, depending on the size of your data.
   
   

4. Allow the installer to start ListManager and the ListManager web server

Upgrade in Linux

1. Shut down ListManager and the ListManager web server
   
   

2. Untar and unzip the ListManager installer
   
   

3. CD to the directory created by the ListManager installer
   
   

4. Run the following command to start the installer:

   ./install_lm.pl
   
   

5. When running the ListManager installer, select "Upgrade" instead of "New Install", and provide the installer with the path where ListManager is currently installed. The installer will automatically copy the data if necessary and upgrade the database
   
   

6. Allow the installer to start ListManager and the ListManager web server
