Overview

When you generate content from the Lyris LM interface, you are able to track Opens and Clicks. But when users submit content via email, the List only tracks Opens and not Clicks and you would like to configure your system to do so.

Solution

Unfortunately, ListManager can only track Opens when content is submitted via email. Use this solution to configure your system to track Opens of email submitted content for a selected List if not already configured. Tracking Opens must be applied individually to each List you want to track.

1. Log on to Lyris LM as an Administrator
   
   
2. Select the List that you would like to track Opens from by clicking the List Name in the top-right corner of the page and selecting the List you want from the list of Lists
   
   
3. Navigate to Utilities > List Settings > E-mail Submitted Content
   
   1. Append to end of every message (HTML/Text message footer): Enter the merge tag %%detect_both%%
   2. Click Save

After applying this setting when a user emails content to the List, Opens are tracked.
